A stack of scope plates rising from one small bounded change to a full storefront build, with one plate bracketed.

What a Shopify store or website costs to build

Starting prices in GBP and USD, excluding VAT. Bigger or unusual configurations are priced after we have looked at them.

Projects

Build it once, own it outright

What moves the price: catalogue size, how many templates change, the integrations, and the state of the data.

Stores, rebuilds and data

Migration and build

Shopify launch

From £5,000From $6,500

Moving to Shopify and building the store in one project, so the data and the storefront land together rather than in two disconnected pieces of work.

  • Store build, configuration and templates
  • Managed data migration within stated limits
  • Redirects, analytics and technical SEO baseline
  • Launch, training and short post-launch support

Starting price

No migration

Shopify rebuild

From £4,000From $5,200

A substantial rebuild of a store already trading on Shopify. The catalogue and history stay where they are; the storefront that sells them is replaced.

  • Conversion-led design across the templates that sell
  • Theme rebuild or restrained adaptation
  • Merchandising, navigation and catalogue structure
  • Launch with the trading journeys tested first

Starting price

Data only

Data migration

From £1,000From $1,300

Products, customers, orders and content mapped into a Shopify store that already exists or is priced separately. Fixed once source access and a sample migration are reviewed.

  • Documented mapping of the selected entities
  • Sample migration before the full run
  • Validation against the source records
  • Redirect mapping where URLs change

Starting price · scoped after discovery

Plus, B2B, multi-market

  • Multi-market and multi-language configuration
  • ERP, PIM, WMS and accounting integrations
  • Headless or custom storefront work where justified

Starting price · scoped after discovery

  • Research, messaging and custom design
  • Service and case-study architecture
  • CMS, forms and integrations where required
  • Analytics, technical SEO and redirect handling

Starting price

Up to 20 pages

  • Content structure the team can edit
  • Analytics and technical SEO baseline

Starting price

Software, not a site

Web application or Shopify app

From £4,000From $5,200

Authentication, application behaviour, relational data, private merchant tooling or a custom Shopify app. Requirements beyond what a marketing site or a theme can hold.

  • Private dashboards and merchant workflows
  • Admin API integrations and signed webhooks
  • Relational data, accounts and permissions
  • Maintenance ownership agreed before build

Starting price · scoped after discovery

Bounded work

One outcome, one fixed price

One bounded piece

Project sprint

£1,500$2,000

One bounded improvement: landing pages, a template rebuild, an analytics implementation, or a build-readiness review credited against a larger project.

  • One defined outcome, agreed before work starts
  • Fixed price and a fixed finish line
  • Credited against a larger project where it leads to one

Fixed price

Monthly support

Keep it moving after launch

Priced separately from any project, and never a condition of one.

Per month

  • Response: within two working days
  • Not included: new pages or substantial new features

  • Response: next working day
  • Scope: conversion, SEO, content and development work

Development partner

From £3,000From $4,000

Continuous delivery across an agreed portfolio, with planning ahead of the work rather than a queue you have to keep feeding.

  • Response: same working day, UK working days
  • Scope: Shopify and marketing-site delivery, plus roadmap planning

Starting price

Prices exclude VAT where applicable. Managed migration-tool fees are included in migration pricing. Shopify subscriptions, paid themes, apps, domains, hosting and other third-party licences are separate unless a proposal lists them. US dollar amounts are independently set commercial prices, not a converted GBP figure.

Get a migration range in five questions

What a move to Shopify is likely to cost, before anyone books a call.

What a migration costs depends on what your current platform can actually export. The estimator sizes the job from your largest record count and sends the genuinely unusual cases to manual scoping instead of inventing a number.

Questions

Asked about pricing

Why are GBP and USD prices not converted?

Because a converted price changes every day and the invoice does not. GBP and USD are published as separate commercial prices, so the number you see is the number you are billed.

What makes a price move?

How much of the selling system the work has to change. Catalogue size, the number of templates, integrations, data condition and how much has to be decided during the project rather than before it.

What does “from” actually mean here?

It is the starting point for the smallest honest version of that scope, not a headline figure nobody pays. Where every input is known we fix the price instead.

Is there a minimum?

A standalone project starts at £1,500, except a data-only migration, which starts at £1,000. Below that the scoping costs more than the work.

What does the Care plan actually cover?

Monitoring, routine technical care, platform and dependency updates, and small edits to text and images already on the site. New pages and new features are project work and are quoted as such.

Why is monthly support not sold in hours?

Because nobody wants to buy hours. The plans differ by what you get: the outcome each one is responsible for, how many workstreams run at once, how fast we come back to you, and what is in scope. Work that falls outside a plan is quoted as a project, against a written outcome, rather than billed against a clock.

Do I have to take monthly support?

No. It is priced separately and quoted separately, and it is never a condition of a build. It makes sense where there is a live backlog worth prioritising.

When does a price become binding?

In a written proposal for a defined scope. Everything on this page and in the estimator is indicative and non-contractual.
